Rogaine contains minoxidil.  As long as you are healed from the procedure (about 1 week), you can begin using minoxidil.  Many of our patients find that prescription minoxidil (like Formula 82M) is easier and better than the over-the-counter mixtures.   Sometimes, the OTC rogaine is messy to use and causes skin irritation.  Formula 82M is a little more "user-friendly" so it's easier to stay compliant with the recommended twice a day application.  The 82M also has an ingredient which helps penetration of the minoxidil through the skin increasing the potency of the medication. Formula 82M is dispensed directly from our in-office pharmacy with a prescription.  For more information on how to use minoxidil, rogaine or Formula 82M along with hair transplantation, please email doctorb@baumanmedical.com or call 1-561-394-0024.
